She is one of the legendary J-35's whose dazzling performance, and responsive yet forgiving nature (over a wide range of conditions) has made them very popular with discerning yachtsmen everywhere. A true sailors boat rather than a “floating cottage”, the J-35 ghosts along in barely a breath of wind and is often the fastest sailboat in the Bay easily outpacing typical 40’ cruisers. The hull is a sweet, easily driven shape that is incredibly balanced. She has a big but uncomplicated rig and sensible deck layout. She is thoughtfully outfitted for a group of 2 to 4 who want high quality sailing and comfortable accommodations. She has been extensively refit, including a recent new Awlgrip® finish and nonskid deck and refinished mast and boom and is in excellent condition. She has a Yanmar® 3GM diesel, tiller steering, tiller (auto)pilot and much recent gear including Espar heating system and an inverter for your laptop and cell charging needs.
She is available in Belfast, Maine with car parking available at Front Street Shipyard during your charter.
