PLEIADES
Description Pleiades is a classic wooden yacht built in 1936. She is 35’ on deck with a beam of 8 ½’, full keel, sloop rig and tiller steering. She is wood throughout with a white hull, bright mahogany rails, house, coamings, hatches and Sitka spruce mast and spars. Her deck and cockpit are teak and below there is teak and mahogany, brass and bronze with black locust cabin soles. Her mast is 48 feet overall. It carries a forestay and a head stay, running backstays and permanent backstay, a handsome and functional rig. She is sea kindly and strong. A pleasure to be aboard on deck and below. Beautiful and a joy to sail. A true classic in mint condition, yard maintained. Real sailors will appreciate her authenticity. Has a cabin heater. Moored at Islesboro and offering protected vehicle parking. Just a short ferry ride from Lincolnville.
